DUBAI: Brazil produced a goal-frenzied performance, demolishing Japan 8-4 in the UAE 2024 Dubai beach soccer quarter-finals today. Eight different players found the net for the Samba Boys, including a highlight-reel header from Bruno Xavier off the sand.

Their lead ballooned to a staggering 7-0, threatening the competition’s biggest quarter-final win ever set by Brazil themselves in 2006. However, Japan displayed remarkable spirit, clawing back with four unanswered goals.

But their comeback hopes were dashed by Catarino, who sealed the victory and etched Brazil’s name in history as the first team to reach 400 goals in the competition. They now face the winner of the Iran vs. UAE clash in the semi-finals, with a final berth on the line.
