FIFA announced Wednesday the new international match calendar for 2025 – 2030.

The world’s football governing body said the calendar would see the March international window have a two-match window in nine days and the June international break would be a nine-day, two-match window.

A final international break will occur in November, which will feature a nine-day, two-match window.

The date for the 2026 World Cup final was announced with the tournament set to be the first to have 12 groups in a 48-team bracket.

“Based on the new calendar, the FIFA World Cup 2026 final will be played on Sunday, 19 July 2026, with the mandatory release period starting on 25 May 2026, following the last official club match on 24 May 2026 (exemptions may apply to the final matches of confederation club competitions until 30 May 2026 subject to FIFA’s approval),” said FIFA. “With 56 days, the total combined number of rest, release and tournament days remain identical to the 2010, 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cup editions.”

FIFA also said that they would organize another tournament for football clubs every year except the current Club World Cup tournament.

“This competition will feature the champions of the premier club competitions of all confederations and conclude with a final to be played at a neutral venue, between the winner of the UEFA Champions League and the winner of intercontinental play-offs between the other confederations. Details on timing and format will follow in due course,” it said.

And the 73rd edition of the FIFA Congress will conclude on March 17 in the Rwandan capital of Kigali.
