Finance Minister Mohamed Maait stressed on Friday 24/06/2022 the importance of stability in achieving sustainable development in Egypt, adding “without the political stability, which President Abdel Fattah El Sisi laid its foundations, we would not have succeeded in achieving the economic reform program.”
During his meeting with Mohamed Ali Moustafa, the secretary-general of the Sudanese Tax Authority, Maait said Egypt is keen on the sustainability of the quality performance of e-tax systems in a way that helps integrate the informal economy into the formal economy, achieve fair competition, and lay the foundations for tax justice.
Meanwhile, Moustafa lauded the cooperation programs with Egypt that contributed to developing the tax system in Sudan, saying he looks forward to benefiting from the Egyptian experience in applying the e-invoice system.
The two sides agreed on increasing training programs in the tax field.
