Fisherman shot and injured by an Israeli navy boat off the southern Gaza coast, two others detained

A fisherman was today shot and injured by a rubber bullet fired by an Israeli navy boat off Rafah’s coast in the south of the Gaza Strip and two others were detained.

The Israeli occupation gunboats opened machine gun fire toward fishermen’s boats and surrounded a fishing boat east of Rafah port before detaining two fishermen, the official of the fishermen’s committees in Gaza, Zakaria Bakr, told WAFA correspondent.

He said the navy also shot a fisherman with a rubber-coated metal bullet when he was on another boat.

The occupation’s navy daily attacks fishermen sailing off the Gaza coast and prevents them from earning a living.
