Five people were killed today, three men and two women, in a shooting in the Arab town of Basmat Tibon, in the lower Galilee in northern Israel, according to local reports. They said the victims were in their 30s and were killed in a shooting while a sixth person was injured. A total of 188 Palestinians were killed this year in the rise in crime in Arab towns in Israel compared to 80 last year. Palestinians blame the inaction of the Israeli police and government regarding crime in Arab towns and even accuse the police and government of being an accomplice to the crimes.
