RAMALLAH: The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Al-Maliki, today called to end the double standards in dealing with the Palestinian issue, calling on the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to support the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination.

“It is the time to end the double standers regarding dealing with the Palestinian cause,” al-Maliki stressed during his speech before the court, which began its public hearings on Monday regarding the legal consequences arising from Israel’s policies and practices in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination has been denied for more than a century.

“The right to self-determination does not lapse by statute of limitations and is non-negotiable, and the Israeli occupation must end without conditions,” he said.

He said the genocide that the Palestinian people are subjected to, is the result of decades of impunity for I
srael, the occupying state, uregently calling for the need to put an end to the occupation’s practices and apply international laws.

Al-Maliki called for the need to support the path to peace, stressing this is the only sustainable way to achieve justice for the Palestinian people.
