Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry participated as a main speaker in a session on environmental diplomacy and climate change as part of activities of Munich Security Conference, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Hafez tweeted on Saturday 19/02/2022.
Shoukry is the president-designate of the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP27) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Shoukry arrived in the German capital Berlin on Friday to attend the three-day security gathering, whose activities were launched yesterday with several senior officials and ministers attending.
The conference offers an opportunity for tackling the current situation worldwide and pressing challenges and crises globally.
