Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry stressed the importance of finding effective and swift solutions to a number of current global challenges, including disruption in global supply chains, global energy prices, and shortage in wheat supplies.

The entire world is suffering from an inflationary stagnation crisis, and this requires the need of supporting the African countries through providing them stimulus packages for their economies and increasing investments in the agriculture sphere to attain food security in the African Continent, he added during a speech he delivered during the coordinating ministerial meeting of the Forum of China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

The meeting was held within the framework of existing partnership between the African Continent and China, which is considered one of the main partners for the African Union.

During his speech, Shoukry pointed out to Egypt’s active participation in FOCAC Forum, saying Egypt hosted the fourth edition of the forum in 2009, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez.

Shoukry also referred to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s participation in the opening of the last ministerial conference of FOCAC forum, added the spokesman.
