Manama, Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani today received new GCC Secretary-General Jassim Jassim Muhammad Al-Budaiwi and congratulated him on his appointment, wishing him every success in accomplishing his duties.
The GCC Chief Al-Budaiwi pledged to continue efforts to further the GCC march towards achieving Gulf leaders’ aspirations to supporting cooperation between member states.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed Gulf issues and ways of furthering economic and social cooperation to bolster the GCC standing regionally and internationally.
The meeting was attended by GCC Assistant Undersecretary for Legislative and Legal Affairs Sultan bin Nasser Al Suweidi, Foreign Minister director-general Talal Abdulsalam Al Ansari and GCC Affairs Department Chief Abdulaziz Mohammed Abdulla Al Eid.
