The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Mohammad Hussein, announced today that Friday, April 21, will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The Mufti congratulated all Muslims and the Palestinian people at home and abroad on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, expressing hope that by the next Eid all the Palestinian wishes of freedom and independence will be achieved. The Eid al-Fitr holiday for the public sector already started today, with work resuming on Tuesday.
