DOHA, H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, met Rodrigo Malmierca, Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment of the Republic of Cuba, on the sidelines of his participation in the 5th United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDCs), which began today in Doha, Qatar.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed UAE-Cuba relations and ways to enhance their cooperation and expand its scope to serve the mutual interests of their countries and peoples in various economic, trade, investment and developmental fields, in addition to renewable energy projects and other areas of cooperation that drive sustainable development efforts in the two countries.
The meeting touched on the work of the conference and the importance of mobilising the efforts of the international community to support LDCs and accelerate their development, as well as establishing new partnerships and providing innovative solutions to support these countries.
The meeting was attended by Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, and Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Director of the Fujairah Emiri Diwan.
