DUBAI: Marie Michelle Sahondrarimalala, Minister of National Education, Republic of Madagascar, has stressed the importance of change for the better in the field of education and taking advantage of available resources.

Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during the World Governments Summit, which closed today in Dubai, the minister said that education should focus on fulfilling the basic needs in society by utilising modern technologies, including artificial intelligence.

The big challenge now in Madagascar is the training and qualification of teachers, she added, noting that an MoU has been signed with the Digital School in the UAE to accelerate digitalisation of education in her country
