Gamea reviews steps for implementing 100 measures to incentivize industry

Minister of Trade and Industry Nivine Gamea has presented steps to implement the 100 proposed measures to support industrial activities and stimulate the industrial sector in cooperation with the ministries and bodies concerned.

She made the remarks on Wednesday during a cabinet meeting, led by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly in new Alamein city.

Madbouly stressed he will follow up with the ministries and bodies concerned the implementation of these measures in order to give a strong momentum to the Egyptian industry as per directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Gamea discussed measures, which pertain to introducing amendments to some laws regulating industrial activities, including the activation of the role of the General Authority for Industrial Development.

She also tackled measures aimed at encouraging new industrial investments and transferring state-of-the-art technologies to top-priority industrial sectors.

She said her ministry is considering the expansion of setting up industrial zones in new cities.
