Brussels, — The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union (EU) Cooperation Committee concluded yesterday its 31st meeting held at the EU headquarters in Brussels as part of the cooperation agreement signed by the two sides in 1988.
The meeting dealt with all common files before presenting them to the 27th session of the GCC-EU Ministerial Council, went over the latest developments in the GCC and EU, discussed the progress of work in several areas of cooperation, and activities in the areas of trade and investment, energy supply, climate change, green transformation, counter-terrorism, combating violent extremism, digital transformation, education and scientific research, humanitarian and development assistance and preparing for disasters.
The two sides also reviewed cooperation in the fields of marine security, cybersecurity, and priorities of the two sides in the coming period.
