Kataeb Party Leader, MP Sami Gemayel, met on Wednesday with US Ambassador to Lebanon, Dorothy Shea, with whom he discussed the latest developments and the presidential vacuum.
During the meeting, Gemayel warned against the continuous absence of a head of state, adding that any decision the parliament or the government might take cannot be executed without the signature of the president of the republic.
He also stressed the necessity of electing a president who can unify the Lebanese people, rebuild the nation, and start discussions to address crucial files, such as Lebanon’s neutrality and Hezbollah’s weapons.
