Madaba: The German-Jordanian University (GJU) on Thursday signed a cooperation agreement with Crown Prince Foundation (CPF), aimed at stimulating university students to engage in volunteering activities and involve in projects to improve society and spread a social responsibility culture.

The agreement, which was signed by GJU President, Ala’aldeen Halhouli, and CPF Executive Director, Tammam Mango, will launch ” Nahno: We” platform at the university campus.

Launched by CPF, in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), in cooperation with Ministry of Education, this platform focuses on volunteering and youth engagement.

The agreement seeks to implement volunteering projects and provide opportunity for GJU students to join these activities. It also maintains records of volunteering participants and hours attended by each.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Halhouli stressed the need to create all possible conditions to help young people participate in volunteering works to develop their skills and ideas to serve their society and contribute to its development.

For her part, Mango noted CPF works to promote a “wide” range of development volunteering concepts due to its key role in developing youth skills and enhancing their capabilities.

Under the agreement, students could open private accounts on the platform to access “We” platform and join activities, according to the conditions set by the new deal.
