Amman: The General Union for Air Transport and Tourism (GUATT), and the Airport International Group (AIG) on Thursday signed a collective labor agreement, with the aim of improving working conditions and achieving workers’ rights.

The Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, and Minister of Labour, Youssef Shamali, said that signing the agreement, which will benefit some 430 Jordanian workers, is the outcome of ministry efforts to resolve the labor dispute between the two parties.

For his part, GUATT president Youssef Qanab praised the participatory role between the union and the ministry, which preserved the rights of all parties.

In turn, representatives of the AIG, CEO Nicolas Claude, and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Guillaume Allain, hailed the joint tripartite cooperation, affirming their constant readiness for any collaboration in the future.
