A gunman was arrested on Monday after a chase by a police patrol in eastern Amman, according to the Public Security Department’s media spokesman. He said police were tipped off about a fake plate vehicle in an East Amman neighborhood and tried to stop the driver, who drew a gun and fled the scene. The man was chased and arrested after colliding with a police car and another vehicle, he added. An initial investigation found the driver was wanted and his gun was seized, he added.
