Amman – The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, has announced a delay in releasing the second batch of Israeli prisoners, citing Israel’s non-compliance with the terms of their agreement.

According to Jordan News Agency, Palestinian media reports that the decision to withhold the release hinges on Israel’s commitment to allow aid trucks into northern Gaza. The prisoner exchange process, which commenced on Friday, was set to continue today with Israel expected to release 42 Palestinian women and children in exchange for 14 Israeli prisoners held by Hamas. However, Hamas has accused Israel of not adhering to the agreed criteria for releasing female and child prisoners, both yesterday and today, leading to obstacles in the ongoing prisoner exchange process.
