HASSAN SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH KUWAITI RED CRESCENT TO PROVIDE PFIZER VACCINES TO CITIZENS, REFUGEES ON LEBANESE SOIL

Caretaker Minister of Public Health, Hamad Hassan, signed an agreement between the Ministry of Public Health and the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, represented by its Chairman of the Board, Hilal Musaed Al-Sayer, to provide Pfizer vaccines for the benefit of Lebanese citizens, displaced Syrians, and Palestinian refugees.

Under the agreement, a quantity of 36,500 Pfizer vaccines will be secured for an amount of five hundred thousand dollars to be deposited in the Coronavirus donations account created by the Ministry of Finance for the benefit of the Ministry of Health, to be paid to the supplying company during the third trimester of the year, and to be distributed over the months of July, August, and September, as per the conditions and criteria set by the Ministry, especially in terms of pre-registration on the official platform.

The agreement signing ceremony was held in the presence of the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Lebanon Abdelaal Al-Qenaei, head of the Kuwaiti Red Crescent mission in Lebanon, Musaed Rashid Al-Enezi, and UNRWA Director in Lebanon, Claudio Cordone.
