The Lower House Foreign Affairs Committee called on the international community and organizations to “intervene immediately” to stop Israeli forces’ brutal attacks against the Palestinian people and Jerusalem’s Islamic and Christian holy sites, the latest was aggression on worshipers at Wednesday dawn in Al-Aqsa Mosque. In a press statement issued by its chairman, MP Khaldoun Hayna, the committee reiterated its “strong” condemnation of Al-Aqsa Mosque’s events, describing Israel’s crimes as cowardly acts of terrorism and reflects its extreme right-wing government’ approach. The committee also called on the Arab, Islamic and international parliamentary federations to pressure their governments to take “firm” stances towards these Israeli crimes, to renounce these practices and criminalize them by all legal deterrent means, the statement said.
