The House of Representatives has okayed a presidential decree on a deal signed by Egypt and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in January to fund sustainable transformation for agricultural resilience in Upper Egypt.

The agreement is meant to improve the living conditions of the target groups in Minya, Assiut and Sohag governorates and help them develop their skills to face future water scarcity and climate risks through adopting effective production and irrigation techniques and improving the productivity and quality of various products.
