Housing Minister receives eighth intake of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Program

Manama, Housing and Urban Planning Minister Amena bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi met the eighth intake of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Program.

The minister affirmed the pioneering role of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Program, which embodies the ambitious visions of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister to develop Government cadres and provide them with the opportunity to enhance their expertise, skills and participation in achieving the sustainable development goals of the Kingdom.

She praised the fellows participation in various projects, programs and training courses, which enhance and refine their skills and develop their practical experiences in a way that enhances their contributions to the development of government performance, wishing them success in their endeavors and their academic and practical career.

Minister Al Rumaihi reviewed the issues related to the social housing sector in the Kingdom, and the efforts made by the government to provide decent, appropriate and distinguished housing services for citizens, highlighting the partnership programs with the private sector, such as the new housing finance program and the government land development rights program, which ensure the long-term sustainability of the provision of housing services to citizens.

The minister also touched on the great efforts that resulted in the implementation of the royal directive to provide 40,000 housing units during the last stage, which is a major achievement that represents a milestone in the housing march in the Kingdom that extended since the 60s, stressing that the government’s efforts in providing housing services are witnessing continuous development.

The fellows expressed their appreciation to the minister’s support and encouragement to provide the best levels of work and participation in academic and practical experiments available to them efficiently and responsibly to raise their level of service.
