The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine increased in August by 1.95% compared to July, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS). PPI increased for locally consumed products by 2.04% and for locally exported products by 1.07% in August compared to July. The changes in PPI for August were traced back to changes in prices of the following major activities compared to the previous month: ­­­­­­­Major Activities % Change Mining and quarrying + 9.45% Agriculture, forestry and fishing + 5.25% Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply + 1.96% Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities + 0.69% Manufacturing + 0.15%
