India, Jordan forged “dynamic,flourishing” partnership…1st, final add

_: Over the past few years, the envoy said the bilateral bonds have only grown “stronger” in the realm of technology and education.

The diplomat noted a “shining” example of this partnership is the India-Jordan Center of Excellence in Information Technology (IJ-CoEIT), an advance IT facility established by the Government of India at Al-Hussein Technical University (HTU).

Haleem affirmed this state-of-the-art center boasts a supercomputer and offers comprehensive training in various IT fields to Jordanian experts and professionals aimed to foster the growth of 3000 Jordanian youth over a period of five years in high-tech disciplines.

He noted already 3 batches of Master Trainers from Jordan have completed training in India on emerging fields of Cyber Security, Machine Learning and Web Development who would in-turn be training further Jordanians in these fields at the IJ-CoEIT in HTU.

In the field of education, he said Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) is offering 5 annual scholarships to Jordani
an students giving them opportunity to pursue higher education in India at some of the most prestigious institutions.

Additionally, through the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation programme (ITEC), Haleem said every year 35 Jordanian nationals are given scholarships for technical training in premier Indian institutes to support Jordan’s capacity building initiatives.

The envoy noted the vibrant Indian community in Jordan boasts over 17,500 residents, who are primarily employed in textile, construction, manufacturing, and healthcare, as well as education, IT, finance, and multilateral organizations.

The envoy affirmed that India and Jordan have been “active” partners in collaborating on initiatives on counter terrorism co-operation, adding that India is an “active” participant of Aqaba process and we greatly appreciate the importance of Aqaba Process in facilitating regular, comprehensive dialogue on counter-terrorism among global stakeholders.

Since the start of the conflict, PM Narendra Modi and In
dian External Affairs Minister have been in close contact with leaders of the region and beyond including His Majesty King Abdullah-II and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi.

Indian PM and FM emphasized a consistent message, which stresses importance to prevent escalation, ensure continued delivery of humanitarian aid and work towards an early restoration of peace and stability, also emphasizing a peaceful resolution of the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy, the envoy pointed out.
