BEIRUT: In an alarming escalation this evening, an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential building in the town of Kafr Roummane in southern Lebanon, resulting in injuries to several Lebanese civilians, according to local and media reports.

WAFA correspondent reported that the airstrike hit an apartment in a residential building in the town, causing multiple injuries and complete destruction of the targeted floor. The extent of the injuries and the number of casualties are yet to be officially confirmed.

Simultaneously, Israeli airstrikes targeted the southern town of Blida, while Israeli artillery shelled the towns of Tayr Harfa, Dhayra, and Naqoura.
