Damascus, SANA- Interior minister, Mohammad al-Rahmoun, discussed with Lebanon’s caretaker minister of the displaced, Issam Sharaf el-Din, means of enhancing the cooperation for returning the displaced Syrians to their homeland in a safe and facilitated way.

Minister al-Rahmoun stressed that Syria has offered all the facilitations required to secure repatriating the displaced as it permitted their entry to Syria according to expired Syrian passports or even through any document proving their Syrian nationality, as well as finalizing their procedures at the border crossings immediately.

Al-Rahmoun added that the ministry allowed the entry of all children born outside the country with their families according to certified birth certificates, and informed the principle applicants to visit the civil affairs centers for completing the registration process, with exempting them from all fines.

The minister went on to say that all the border centers are linked with a central civil affairs database with the aim of obtaining civil documents from the centers immediately, affirming that the ministry is permanently determined to offer all the facilitations for repatriating the displaced.

Lebanese Caretaker minister ,Sharaf el-Din, said that the work with the Syrian state is underway to overcome all obstacles facing the return of the displaced, underscoring that there is substantial positivity from the Syrian government regarding this file, calling on the international organizations to assist in this domain.
