Int’l cooperation minister, WBG chief tackle COP27 outcomes

International Cooperation Minister Rania Al-Mashat discussed on Friday with President of the World Bank Group (WBG) David Malpass the development cooperation portfolio between the sides and projects currently established in Egypt in top priority areas.

 

In a phone call, the two sides tackled the finalization of the talks with the bank to support the social protection system and expanding the number of beneficiaries of the Takaful and Karama program in addition to following up on the outcomes of COP27.

 

The talks touched on the WBG’s participation in NWFE Program by offering concessional development mechanisms and mixed financing to implement the program’s projects.

 

They discussed developments of preparation for the joint country strategy 2023/2027.
