Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sweilam arrived on Tuesday 30/8/2022 to attend the proceedings of the World Water Week which addresses the global water issues and their relation to achieving sustainable development.
Egypt’s Ambassador in Sweden Ahmed Adel welcomed the minister upon his arrival.
In statements following his arrival, Sweilam said his participation in this important event comes upon invitation from the Swedish side and its keenness on contacting with the various world countries as regards the water issues and means of addressing challenges facing the water sector.
During his stay in Stockholm, the minister is scheduled to meet with a number of ministers, top officials concerned with the water file along with regional and international organizations working on water-related issues.
