Ramallah, Palestine: In a significant move, Israel released 39 Palestinian prisoners on Friday as part of a swap deal with the Hamas movement. The group of released detainees included 24 women and 15 minors.

According to Jordan News Agency, the release was facilitated by the International Committee of the Red Cross, which transported several detainees from the Ofer military prison to the Beitunia municipality. Additionally, nine female prisoners from Jerusalem were released from the al-Moskobiya detention center. The total number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails is reported to be around 7,500, including 72 women and 250 minors.
