JERICHO: An Israeli colonist today ran over and killed a herd of sheep in the Al-Ma’rajat area, west of Jericho.

Hassan Mleihat, the supervisor of the Al-Baidar organization for defending the rights of the Bedouins, said that a colonist deliberately ran over and killed dozens of sheep belonging to local resident Suleiman Mleihat, causing injury to others.

Raising sheep and herding is an important source of income for thousands of Palestinians who live in Al-Ma’rajat area in the south of the West Bank.
