JERICHO: Israeli colonial settlers today, heavily protected by the occupation army, proceeded with excavation works on land near the Al-Malihat Arab community, northwest of Jericho.

Hassan Mleihat, the supervisor of the Al-Baidar organization for defending the rights of the Bedouins, said that a group of Israeli colonists, accompanied by army vehicles, proceeded with excavation works on land adjacent to the Mleihat Arab community on the Al-Ma’rajat Road, west of Jericho, often a step seen as a prelude to taking over it.

He said such works aim to build caravans for the colonists on about 500 dunums of land and to seize more lands, restricting Palestinian’s movements.
