BETHLEHEM: A forty-two-year-old Palestinian woman, from the town of Nahalin to the west of Bethlehem, was shot and injured this evening by Israeli occupation forces, according to a local official.

Head of Nahalin village council, Jamal Najajreh, told WAFA correspondent that Israeli soldiers opened fire at the woman’s vehicle as she was passing through the village of Husan, shooting and injuring the woman in the left shoulder. She was identified as Halima Ahmad Ftoun, 42.

Confrontation, which lasted for over an hour, broke out in the said village particularly in the Matina area, leading to several suffocation cases among residents.
