BETHLEHEM: Israeli occupation forces today prevented scores of Palestinian shepherds from grazing their livestock in Qirbat Kaisan, east of Bethlehem.

Member of the Kaisan village council, Ahmad Ghazal, said that Israeli occupation forces, at gunpoint, prevented Palestinian shepherds from approaching their land.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces and Israeli colonists had recently escalated their fierce attacks against civilians in the said village, the latest of which was when a group of Israeli colonists opened fire at local resident Yasser Abayat and his herds of sheep.

In a related context, Ghazal pointed out that the occupation soldiers prevented four female students from using the main road leading to the city of Bethlehem, forcing them to return to their homes and deprived them of access to their universities.

The village of Kaisan depends mainly on raising and grazing livestock for its source of income.
