Israeli repression units and Israeli Jewish supremacist Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, Tuesday evening, stormed sections 1 and 3 of Gilboa prison, using sound bombs, and began extensive searches of the prisoners’ cells, and proceeded to close all sections, amid chaos. The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said in a statement today that the Israeli Prison Services (IPS) continues to escalate its aggression against Palestinians prisoners through raids on prisoner sections and mass transfer operations, noting that this is the third raid it has carried out within a week after the raid that took place on Section (5) of the prison of Raymond, in addition to the mass transfer operation that was carried out against them, adding that there was also a previous storming of the prisoners’ sections in Gilboa Prison, making this the second storming of the same prison within a week. The PPS pointed out that the IPS, since the beginning of this year, has carried out mass transfer operations, mainly ta
rgeting prisoners with high sentences. It is noteworthy that the prisoners over the past period have gone through rounds of confrontation, which reached the point of the prisoners’ decision and their permanent willingness to go on a mass hunger strike. The number of Palestinians prisoners in the occupation prisons has so far reached more than 5,250 prisoners, including 39 female prisoners and 170 children.
