Israeli occupation forces assaulted worshipers today in multiple locations of occupied Jerusalem, preventing them from reaching the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound for the weekly Friday prayer, according to local sources and witnesses.

Eyewitnesses reported that, for the ninth consecutive Friday, Israeli occupation forces imposed stringent military measures at the gates of Al-Aqsa, preventing worshipers from accessing the mosque and subjecting them to physical assaults.

The Israeli occupation forces also obstructed the movement of Palestinians at the gates of the Old City and deployed a significant number of troops around the Wadi al-Joz area adjacent to the Old City.

In a separate incident, Israeli forces attacked worshipers in the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem after they had performed Friday prayers outdoors there. This comes after nine consecutive weeks of preventing them from reaching the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The occupation forces responded to the peaceful gathering with violence, using physical
force, stun grenades, toxic tear gas, and wastewater to disperse the worshipers.
