Israeli occupation forces imposed an extensive lockdown this evening on Palestinian businesses in the town of Huwara, located to the south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

WAFA correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation army significantly intensified its presence in the town as they compelled shop owners to close their businesses. Additionally, they tightened their restrictions at checkpoints surrounding the city of Nablus.

The local Palestinian population have grown accustomed to these sporadic Israeli lockdowns that disrupt their daily lives and economic activities under the flimsy pretext of maintaining the security of the colonial Israeli settler population.
