Israeli police Sunday assaulted a Palestinian youth from the refugee camp of Shufat, leaving the mark of David’s Star on his face, before placing him under house arrest. The police released Orwa Sheikh Ali shortly after assaulting him and claiming that the “Star of David” mark on his face ‘resulted from a shoelace of a police officer’, adding that the Jerusalemite youth resisted the police detaining him. Sheikh Ali said that during his arrest, the police officers punched him all over his body and covered his face with a piece of cloth.
