ROME – Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani emphasized the importance of Israel respecting international law amid its operations against Hamas. This statement was made during an interview with the Financial Times on Wednesday.
According to Jordan News Agency, Israel should be mindful of how its actions, particularly in the context of its conflict with Hamas, are perceived internationally. He stressed the significance of serious consideration for civilian populations in conflict areas. Tajani also pointed out the presence of extremist elements within Israel, notably among settlers in the occupied West Bank. He advocated for allowing time to work towards a long-term political solution to the ongoing conflict in the region.
