Moscow, SANA- Syria’s Ambassador to Russia Bashar al-Jaafari on Saturday discussed with Russian governmental delegation means of developing bilateral cooperation in the energy and electricity sectors, particularly in light of the current critical situation Syria is witnessing resulted from the US and Turkish occupations’ policies in plundering the Syrian people’s resources and wealth, in addition to the repercussion of the unilateral coercive economic measures.
Members of the Russian delegation confirmed Russia’s true will in bolstering and deepening cooperation between the two countries and to provide all forms of support to Syria in facing the economic war imposed on it.
For his part, al-Jaafari reiterated the importance of the Russian support in strengthening Syria’s resilience, indicating that the Syrian-Russian relations are governed by the logic of geopolitical partnership and to further enhancing them is a strategic option for the leaderships, governments and peoples of the two countries.
