The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) launched a Ramadan campaign, which aims to secure and distribute hot meals and food parcels to poor Jordanian families and Syrian and Palestinian refugees backed by a number of donors in various governorates of the Kingdom. According to a JHCO statement on Thursday, Secretary-General of the charity Hussein Shibli said that for the fifth year in a row the JHCO is looking to reach more than 100,000 beneficiaries through this campaign. The meals will be prepared through the Arzak Productive Kitchen, one of the organization’s training and operation projects, by a crew of chefs and sous chefs and a number of volunteers to prepare the meals and deliver them to the partner local charities to be distributed to the target groups, the statement added. Additionally, the authority and partners from the humanitarian sector and the private sector joined hands to send food coupons, parcels, hot meals and Eid clothing to beneficiaries across the Kingdom within the network of charities registered with the organization and affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development and the Department of Palestinian Affairs. The charity said its receiving cash donations on its website: www.jhco.org.jo and the “eFAWATEERcom” application, in addition to direct donations at the JHCO’s headquarters in the Khalda area in Amman.
