Amman – Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh of Jordan and Qatar’s Minister of State for International Cooperation Lolwah Al-Khater held discussions focusing on bilateral ties, cooperation, and regional issues, with a significant emphasis on delivering humanitarian aid to Palestinians.

According to Jordan News Agency, during the meeting, Khasawneh and Al-Khater underscored the peak of relations between Jordan and Qatar, actively working to enhance cooperation across various sectors.

The Prime Minister highlighted the dire humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, exacerbated by Israeli aggression, and expressed the shared position of Jordan and Qatar against this. Both nations advocate for an immediate cessation of hostilities, protection of civilians, and the urgent, sustainable delivery of humanitarian aid, along with a political solution based on the two-state solution.

Khasawneh acknowledged the efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Crown Prince Al Hussein in supporting Palestinians through various initiatives, including field hospitals, aid dispatches, and provision of essential supplies. He reiterated Jordan’s commitment to humanitarian and diplomatic efforts to end aggression, protect civilians, and ensure continuous aid delivery. Khasawneh also emphasized Jordan’s firm stance against actions leading to the displacement of Palestinians, considering them a breach of the peace agreement with Israel.

Al-Khater, in response, commended Jordan’s multifaceted efforts in addressing the Palestinian issue and affirmed Qatar’s solidarity with Jordan in opposing forced displacement and alterations to Jerusalem’s status. She expressed Qatar’s commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation with Jordan in economic and trade sectors.
