AMMAN — Following the visit of His Majesty King Abdullah II to the United Arab Emirates, Ministers Kholoud Al-Saqqaf and Zeina Toukan highlighted the significance of two memoranda of understanding signed between Jordan and the UAE in the realms of investment and development cooperation.

According to Jordan News Agency, the MoUs, valued at $5 billion, delineate investment prospects aimed at expanding cooperation and fostering sustainable growth and prosperity in both nations. The agreements focus on various sectors, including infrastructure and development projects, and feature a UAE government grant of $400 million to fund Jordanian development initiatives. The MoUs, signed by UAE Minister of Investment Mohammed Hassan Al Suwaidi and Minister Toukan, pave the way for the creation of an investment fund in Jordan to support infrastructure and development projects exceeding $5.5 billion. Targeted sectors for these projects encompass education, digitization, energy, and tourism, promising a fortified bilateral partnership and mutual economic advancement.
