First Vice President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), Jamal Rifai, discussed with Panamanian ambassador to Jordan, Jose Ulises Lescure, ways to enhance joint economic and trade relations and role of commerce chambers in this regard. According to a JCC statement released Saturday, the two sides discussed cooperation mechanisms in multiple economic issues of common interest, and the importance of launching a plan to develop trade exchanges and strengthen joint partnership. Rifai and Lescure also discussed sectors of common interest, especially seafood, Dead Sea products, drugs, potash and phosphates, the statement added. During the meeting, the duo stressed the need to hold a joint business forum, prepare a study on exports and imports and sectors of common interest, exchange information on joint investment opportunities, and establish a Jordanian-Panamanian business council.
