Amman – Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, declared that Jordan will not sign the proposed water-energy deal with Israel.

According to Jordan News Agency, In an interview with Al-Jazeera TV, Safadi linked this decision to the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip since October 7. He criticized Israel for escalating tensions in the region, including on Lebanon’s borders and in the West Bank, and argued that these actions undermine the potential for peaceful relations.

Safadi further stated that amidst the current situation, the peace deal between Jordan and Israel becomes less relevant, likening it to an item collecting dust.
