Jordan and the Vatican’s foreign ministers discussed Thursday over the phone ties and regional and international developments, especially the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian Territories. Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and the Vatican’s Foreign Minister Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher said that Jordan and the Vatican are “keen” to continue consultation and coordination and cooperate in upholding regional security and stability. Safadi conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II to Pope Francis and His Majesty’s wishes for a speedy recovery.
