Amman – Chairman of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, Khaldoun Hayna, emphasized the clarity and candor of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s addresses in international forums, particularly regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip. During a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Chen Chuandong in Amman, Hayna highlighted the catastrophic impact of the war crimes committed by Israeli forces in Gaza. He stressed the need for global efforts to enforce international laws and resolutions to end these crimes and support Palestinian rights.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting, held on Tuesday, focused on strengthening the ties between Jordan and China, encompassing political, economic, and cultural spheres. Hayna urged the international community to support King Abdullah II’s efforts for a comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian issue and to back the Hashemite custodianship of holy sites in Jerusalem.

Ambassador Chen Chuandong reaffirmed China’s support for Jordan’s stance on peace and the rights of the Palestinian people. He acknowledged the Palestinian issue’s global impact and China’s collaboration with Jordan and Arab nations to negotiate an end to Israeli aggression in Gaza. Chen condemned the double standards on the international stage and the misleading narratives propagated by Israel. He emphasized the need for Palestinians to establish a sovereign state for regional security and stability. Regarding Jordan-China relations, Chen underscored the importance of increasing trade exchanges and student mobility between the two countries.
