AMMAN – The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and Amideast, an organization specializing in education and training services, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The agreement aims to develop Jordanian youth’s skills in communication, innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology, aligning them with current labor market competencies.

According to Jordan News Agency, As per the ministry’s statement, the MoU was signed by the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmed Hanandeh, and Amideast Jordan’s Country Director, Nour Alrasheed. Hanandeh highlighted the ministry’s focus on developing digital and communication skills among youth, particularly university students, to prepare them for the future labor market. The partnership with Amideast underlines this commitment.

Under the MoU, Amideast will provide educational scholarships in cooperation with Google to university students through the “Grow Stronger with Google Career Certificates” initiative. This program aims to align with the digital transformation by offering Google professional certificates in various fields including IT support, project management, user experience design, and digital marketing. The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship will support Amideast by facilitating collaborations with stakeholders in the Kingdom’s private and public sectors to finance these programs.

This partnership reflects both the ministry’s goals and Amideast’s expertise in project management. Amideast plans to develop programs consistent with the ministry’s strategic vision, contributing to attracting donors and designing programs to achieve the ministry’s developmental objectives.
