Jordan’s Foreign Minister Consults with EU High Representative on Gaza Crisis

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, engaged in a crucial phone conversation with Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. This call was part of ongoing discussions focused on intensifying efforts to halt the ongoing war in Gaza, ensuring the protection of civilians, and upholding international law and humanitarian standards.

According to Jordan News Agency, Safadi briefed Borrell on the outcomes of a recent high-level meeting, which included the US Secretary of State and foreign ministers from Jordan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, as well as the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization. The Arab position, as reflected in this meeting, emphasized the urgent need to end the conflict in Gaza, halt the bloodshed, and rejected the notion of the conflict being a form of self-defense.
