AMMAN: The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates today strongly condemned an attack by colonists on two Jordanian aid convoys carrying food, flour, and other humanitarian supplies to the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry said that one convoy was heading to Gaza via the Kerem Shalom crossing, while the other was supposed to enter Gaza via the Beit Hanoun crossing Erez.

The Ministry stated that the failure of the Israeli Occupation government to protect the aid convoys and allowing them to be attacked is a serious violation of its legal obligations as the occupying power and its duty to permit aid into Gaza.

Ministry spokesman Sufyan Qudah pointed out that the attack on the convoys by extremists and the failure of the occupation authorities to provide protection undermine the occupation government’s claims and its obligations to allow aid into Gaza, including through the Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing.

ternational community to condemn it and demand that Israel fulfill its legal obligations to protect aid convoys and the international

Despite the attack, the convoys continued their mission to deliver aid to Gaza, reaching their destinations amidst the humanitarian crisis facing the region.
